ITS A GIFT!
- that's what Gift Aid is!

It means that if you are a U.K. tax payer and you put something in the collection or make any gift to St Nicolas Church, then the government gives us even more - 28.2p for every £1 you give!

There must be a catch!

Only one - apart from the fact that you must pay enough tax to "cover" the amount we reclaim: We must be able to show the Inland Revenue that you asked us to recover the tax.

There are two ways you can help us profit from this

For one-off gifts however small or large
Make sure you put it in one of the WHITE envelopes you will find at the back of the church or on the end of each pew row in the boxes - fill in your name and address on the envelope and put it in the collection bag or give it to a church officer - we can then claim another 28.2% of your gift from the government. (Your name and address will be used only for reclaiming tax from the Inland Revenue and for no other purpose).

For regular giving - weekly, monthly, annually
Fill in a form (once and once only) and then give either in the YELLOW envelopes or by Banker's Order and from then on for anything you give, whatever the amount, we can claim another 28.2% from the government - no long term commitment, give what your circumstances allow - and if they change you can give a different amount (no more form filling needed). Ask a Churchwarden, Sidesman or Russell Spencer for a form - or pick one up from the back of the church.
