The Font

The font is to the rear of the Nave on the north side. It dates from about 1861 but we are told that it is standing on the ancient stone base of the original mediaeval font from the old church site, the upper part of which can be seen in the west entrance lobby.

Lady Chapel
The Lady Chapel

The Lady Chapel is to the south side of the church. The main area seats 12. The marble altar is in the traditional position so services here face east. It has a particularly fine set of five stained glass windows, the centre light of which portrays the Christ child held aloft. They are by Baron Rosenkrantz, a local resident, dedicated to his daughter. The chapel is used for weekday and Sunday 8.00am services. The reserved sacrament is kept in the aumbry on the left wall.

The West Door

Looking from the back of the Nave, under the Tower and out through the West Door, your way out if you have just got married! The Lychgate can be seen in the distance. In the lobby the single bell rope hangs down and the top of the mediaeval font from the old church can be seen.
